Observation
As a design student, I often struggled to find an online printing service that could handle small orders quickly or offer instant delivery. While Blinkit offered basic printing, it had very few options for paper types or printing techniques. Other printing websites existed too, but none provided the speed or flexibility needed for urgent creative work.
Design
While designing this app, I made sure it offered options for different paper types and printing methods, along with instant delivery based on order size and technique. I also included customizable templates so users can design their prints directly within the app before ordering.
Process
If printing websites already exist,
what’s still missing?
Back in school, I’d run around chasing prints, and Sundays were always a letdown, waiting with no hope of getting them on time. Even now, as a design student, finding the right paper and printing method can still be a headache. Most printing websites stick to the basics: limited paper choices, few methods, and slow delivery.

The Challenges

Ideation
After visiting the printing shop, I created a user persona and information architecture. Based on that, I sketched wireframing ideas and then developed a low-fidelity prototype, following the natural flow of users in the shop.

Different products
Through my user research, I found that people wanted a printing platform that’s simple, fast, and transparent. Many expressed the need for a range of different products and a final look preview to visualize their prints before ordering. With these insights, I started my wireframing sketches and moved toward finalizing the wireframe.

The name “Prismo” comes from “prism”—just like a prism splits light into colors, while printing layers subtractive colors (CMYK) to produce various hues.. I wanted a name that’s crisp, easy to remember, and reflects this creative process.
The “P” reflects the printing process—how a long sheet of paper moves through the machine, getting printed in layers of color before finally rolling out.
